This course is designed to teach a 2D production drafter how to use MicroStation software to create quality designs. You will learn to use MicroStation’s tools and features to create designs, manipulate and modify elements, assemble project data, and create printed output.

This class is intended for the experienced MicroStation user and focuses on the features of MicroStation designed to improve user and work-group productivity. Providing lecture, demonstration and hands-on exercises, this class begins with a thorough examination of the DGN file and AccuDraw, and ends with an introduction to importing and exporting CAD data from/to other CAD programs.

This class covers many of the new features and capabilities of MicroStation CONNECT with an emphasis on user interface and productivity gains. All of the major new capabilities of MicroStation CONNECT are covered in a series of hands-on exercises. Students will learn about Workflow Task based interfaces and Project Explorer among other topics.

Through a series of hands-on exercises, users will develop a solid understanding of the 3D capabilities of MicroStation. Users will navigate and work in a 3D design file, create and edit 3D curves, solids and surfaces in MicroStation, create parametric 3D models and develop a basic knowledge of the rendering capabilities of MicroStation. In addition, users will learn how to take their 3D data and apply Dynamic Views to create 2D drawings.

This 2 day course is designed to give a quick start to a 2D production drafter on how to use MicroStation software to create quality designs. This is an Archway developed class, not a Bentley Institute class. You will learn an introduction to MicroStation, 2D and 3D. This class is designed for anyone who wants to quickly learn how to use MicroStation/PowerDraft to produce technical drawings and 3D models.

This course covers the basic features of the Luxology rendering engine in MicroStation V8i. It will also teach the new animation user how to produce movies. It requires knowledge of MicroStation 3D.

This two day course covers the features of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) development environment specific to MicroStation. This includes emulating common user tasks such as locating elements and performing global changes to design file contents. Students will learn how to make efficient use of the VBA Interactive Developer Environment, including the macro recorder and the Visual Basic Editor. This course provides and essential foundation for the design, development and deployment of MicroStation VBA macros automating fundamental operations in MicroStation.
