Edinburgh Christmas Market How Much It Costs To Ride All The Attractions

Christmas is a magical time in the capital but it can also be costly if you are headed up town to enjoy all of the festivities in East and West Princes Street Gardens.

With that in mind, Edinburgh Live wanted to make sure that you are prepared and aware of the costs of every fair ride and attraction in the city centre.

We all know how kids can get when they see flashing lights and hear the excited (or terrified) screams of people whirling upside down on a stomach churning ride.

It is worth remembering that EH residents, who are able to prove their address, will be able to enjoy 20 per cent off the rides and attractions.

Tickets for the most expensive ride, the Forth 1 Big Wheel, are going for £10 and can be purchased in advance from the Edinburgh Christmas website.

In East Princes Street Gardens, guests can have a go on the Sizzlers which costs £6 and Techno Power costs £7.

The Helter Skelter next to the Scott’s Monument is also available at £3 per slide.

Although tickets cannot be bought in advance for the above rides, they can only be purchased on the day of visit from one of the front of house staff.

All in all, if someone wanted to ride all of the rides in East Princes Street Gardens it would cost £26 or £20.80 with the EH discount.

In West Princes Street Gardens, Santa Land is home to the funfair and tickets can be bought on the day from the front of house staff. Prices are as follows:

* Dodgems – £6 per car
* Waltzers – £6 per person
* Runaway Train – £4
* Racing Autodrome – £3.50
* Cups & Saucers – £3.50
* Flying Jets – £3.50
* Samba Balloon Rides – £3.50
* Candy Canes Bungees – £5
* Santa Fun House – £4
* Helter Skelter – £3

To ride all of the attractions above would cost: £42 without discount and £33.60 with the EH discount.
