‘Tis (almost) the season, and we’re preparing ourselves because the line-up for Christmas in Edinburgh has been announced, including the iconic Christmas markets and a brand new ice rink experience
UniqueAssembly, the producers for Edinburgh’s world-famous festive celebrations, have today unveiled the programme of events for Edinburgh Christmas 2022. This year’s programme of festive events includes the traditional and ever popular Christmas Market, with over 70 stalls including local traders, the much-loved Forth 1 Big Wheel and a selection of festive fairground rides, a new Christmas ice rink experience on George Street and, of course, a visit to Santa.

The attractions will open on Friday 25 November 2022 (the ice rink opens Saturday 26 November) and will be open seven days a week from 10am until late. This year there are plenty of fun, free activities for everyone to join in with. Including a Nativity Carol Concert on Sunday 27th November and the Santa Fun Run on Sunday 4th December.

Lord Provost Robert Aldridge from The City of Edinburgh Council, said: “Edinburgh is one of the best places in the world to celebrate Christmas and this programme for 2022 promises a rich and varied programme of festive activities, events and experiences that will be enjoyed by residents and visitors of all ages. We can’t wait to see everyone enjoying it.”
